I use these boots for my Fire Investigation Dog to protect his paws when he enters buildings where fire debris could cause harm to his paws. Once they're worn in he doesn't mind wearing them and so far he's never received any injuries. I've not found another product that works better yet!...

  2. Not perfect but the best I've tried so far. review rating

These boots are quite rigid due to the sole and aren't finished brilliantly inside which makes them a bit scratchy so they are best used with socks inside. Buy a pack of baby socks instead of the Ruffwear ones which are much cheaper and you get loads which you will need as the boots aren't waterproof. You can hold these up well above the dew claws with electrical tape, this stops them pulling the boots off. The boots do need to be fastened quite tightly to keep them on especially if you have an active dog. That said, they are the best boots that I've tried so far.

Brilliant, they do stay on if your dog does not have a big growth on the side of his foot. Only downside is they have made his paw sore by rubbing, bit like new shoes and blisters on humans. Need now to buy the socks.
